Mohammed Kateeb is a seasoned executive with over 30 years of experience in technology, strategy, and entrepreneurship, known for his results-driven and highly impactful leadership style known for being results-driven, dynamic, and highly entrepreneurial. He has had a diverse experience in building businesses, teams, and identifying and capitalizing on market opportunities in Asia, the USA, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). He is passionate technologist, strategic advisor, independent board director, serial entrepreneur, angel investor, and public speaker.
Throughout his career, Mohammed Kateeb has held numerous prominent positions. He has served in various roles within Microsoft, including Managing Director for the Middle East, General Manager for the Gulf region of the United States, and CTO for the Central region of the US and Canada. From 2004 to 2022, he also held the esteemed position of Group Chairman and CEO at Path Solutions.
Kateeb is a multi-award winner; In 2021, he was presented with the 'Fintech Leader of the
Year Award', the 'Financial Services Technology Leadership Award', and the 'Banking Technology Personality of the Year'. In 2020, he received the 'Best Technology Executive of the Year for Financial Services' and the 'Fintech Leader of the Year Award'. He was named one of top 50 most influential leaders in the Islamic Economy by Islamica 500 in 2019 and 2018. That in addition to many more awards during his rich career.
Kateeb is also a regular public speaker and has keynoted at many international conferences on the subject of emerging technologies and is an active member of the MEA executive community.
