Mission
The mission of the National Center for Digital Transformation is to accelerate the digital transformation journey in Palestine by providing research, consultancy, training, and collaboration opportunities. The center aims to empower organizations and individuals with the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to navigate the digital landscape successfully. Through strategic partnerships and innovative initiatives, it seeks to foster an inclusive and sustainable digital ecosystem that drives economic growth, social progress, and technological innovation.
Main Objectives and Goals
The National Center for Digital Transformation at the Arab American University will have the following main objectives and goals:
- Driving Innovation and Research: The center will promote a cultureof innovation by conducting advanced research in emerging technologies and digital trends and applying them in sectors relevant to Palestine. It will encourage interdisciplinary collaboration and the development of practical solutions.
- Enabling Digital Transformation: The center will provide consultancy services to institutions in both the public and private sectors, assisting them in formulating and implementing effective digital transformation strategies. This will include conducting IT and communications technology assessments, creating custom roadmaps, and providing technical guidance.
- Enhancing Cybersecurity and Data Protection: Given the increasing importance of cybersecurity, the center will offer specialized consultancy services to institutions, ensuring the implementation of strong security measures and the establishment of a resilient digital infrastructure. It will enhance data protection and privacy best practices.
- Enhancing Digital Skills Development: The center will offer comprehensive training courses, workshops, and certifications to improve digital literacy and skills among individuals, professionals, and students. This will cover areas such as data analytics, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, digital marketing, and emerging technologies.
- Advocating for Policies: The center will actively engage with policymakers, advocating for policies and regulations that promote digital innovation, investment, and entrepreneurship. It will contribute to developing a regulatory environment that supports the digital transformation agenda in Palestine.
- Achieving Business Sustainability: The center will contribute to achieving high levels of business sustainability in Palestine, resulting in easier, safer lives and increased individual productivity.
- Regional Center: The center will enhance Palestine's role as a leading regional hub in digital transformation, aiming to position Palestine on the regional and global map as a provider of resources and expertise in digital transformation.
